My name is Milan Jelisavcic. I am a PhD student in the Computational Intelligence Group of the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the VU University in Amsterdam. I studied Computer Engineering at the University of Kragujevac and University of Belgrade. After Masters’ I started working at RT-RK Institute for Computer Based Systems as Embedded Software Engineer for two years. From 2015, I started my PhD at VU Amsterdam, on the Robot Baby project.
Robot Baby is the first implementation of the Triangle of Life in real hardware, including the online evolution of robot learning, and evolving morphology of robots. This enables robots to overcome ‘Reality Gap’ we have in simulations, and to evolve new morphologies.
